I know the first reaction is to be take to vet, but one its saturday night, and two, I have 4 kittens and no money but here's my problem:

kittens about 5 weeks old.Definitely all have fleas (vet said I need to wait 6 weeks for treatment, but I'm going to go ahead and treat now) tonight one of them pooped white stool. did it again and looked like a huge white worm came out. Researched worms on-line and all describe as rice or flat spaghetti.Definitely did not look like either. This was about as thick and round as a ground worm about an inch and half long. So i'm not sure what to treat for and again everything says to wait till 6 weeks. Does anybody have any info or suggestions they can share with me? Thank you in advance!

  1. Sounds like hook worms. Get them all wormed ASAP. Puppies and Kittens are born with worms. And FYI, DO NOT GO THE CHEAP ROUTE AND BUY THE CHEAP STUFF THEY SELL IN THE STORE!!! Its a waste of $$$ and it doesnt work.

  2. You need to worm your kittens. Go to your vet and ask them for Pyrantel to worm your litter. Its not expensive! You should have wormed them at 2 weeks. If they have worms bad it can kill them. Some worms suck all their blood. DO NOT put flea medicine on them it is toxic when they are too small. You can take alcohol on a cotton swab and dab the fleas and that will kill them.

  3. Do as the vet said. Those meds are toxic.

Oh..and keep them out of your bed ;/

  4. Take your kittens to the SPCA iddmediatly for a free check-up.

You should have thought about this BEFORE you got kittens. Kittens are responisibility. They need to have a loving home that has enough money to care for them. How irresponsible of you.

  5. first off you shouldn't have that many pets if you can't afford to keep them healthy or get them treated by a vet.

secondly your cats all probably have worms if they have never been dewormed before, and i believe your cat does even if it's not the exact description of what you read on the internet. either wait until morning to call the vet.
