  1. maybe you should just rest a little while and hold of the singing for a day or two

  2. Rest its vocal cords and it does not speak to much

Practice a technique of relaxation or exercise to reduce stress

Avoids to smoke (second hand in your case)

Takes more liquids and to eat crude fruits and vegetables.

Avoid the vinegar , lemon  its can irritate the throat

Uses a vaporizer to create humid air

    Eat honey.

  3. Don't worry, it's probably just because your growing. The same thing happened to me at that age and now my voice is as good as it was before and maybe even better.

  4. It has nothing to do with something being wrong with your singing voice.  Very few 12-year-olds should be singing The Wizard and I, even when they've been in choir or taken lessons.  The crack means that your voice isn't ready to sing that note, and that's ok.

However, if you push your voice to continue trying to hit that note, and you do it on a regular basis, you WILL hurt your voice!  It has absolutely nothing to do with just needing a better diet, or just needing rest (though I would recommend that you rest your voice, as in no singing, for a couple of days).  You sound untrained - most kids your age are untrained.  Even the ones who take lessons don't really get heavy instruction; the voice teacher is more there to provide basic technique and make sure you don't hurt yourself.  Trying to sing tough Broadway songs such as "The Wizard and I" at the age of 12 isn't good for your voice.  If a voice teacher ever gave an average 12-year-old student this song to sing and didn't transpose it to a lower key (or remove the higher notes), I would slap him/her.

Trying to belt a note that isn't COMFORTABLY in your range is one of the most dangerous things you could do.  I used to try to belt "Defying Gravity" when I was younger, around 17 years old.  And often my voice would break, or I'd end up sore from belting out of my range. Fortunately I started on lessons soon after, so I put a quick stop to that. :)

On the other hand, if you normally can comfortably hit that note (emphasis on "comfortably" - that is, without having to try hard to get up there), then yes, resting your voice would be beneficial.  Also, you could be coming down with a cold or just not getting enough sleep. There are a lot of factors that could be the cause of this.

Screaming a lot is also very, VERY harmful to your vocal cords.  You could severely damage them (look up "vocal nodes") and, depending on how badly they were harmed, you could permanently damage your voice.

  5. Answer this:

    1. Have you been able to sing notes lower than you usually have??

If so, it's nothing to be frightened about, your voice is just changing!! No big deal. But, if this continues on, you could see a doctor. My friend has the same thing happening to her, she has to have doctors take her tonsils out. Well, I hope this works well!!

  6. Don't strain yourself while singing. If you can't hit it clean, don't do it. practice until your confident. if you can't hit it in practice you will NOT get it if your scared  in performance unless you feel charged by the crowd!
