Question:

Worried about the new car tax prices

We've all noticed that so called "gas guzzlers" such as 4x4's are going to get completely hammered when it comes to car tax in the coming years but it only applies to the ones made after 2001. My solution is going to be this:

I'm going to buy myself a pre 2001 Range Rover V8, I then won't be paying any more tax than what I currently pay for my 1.8l Rover 45 (also pre 2001). I'll still be able to really annoy environmentalists when I fill it up with an oil tankers worth of fuel too lol.

I was also wondering, how are you all going to beat the new rules? Ideas anyone?

  1. buy my tax disc with a bouncing cheque

  2. better still ; buy a pre 72 motor , and pay no tax at all .

a series 1 xj jag would fit the bill . just the straight 6 ,4.2 litre , or maybe the v12 , 5.3 litre .

just imagine the joy . if i'm right they had two petrol tanks .!

  3. You might give this web site a try.  http://www.water-4-fuel.com/

  4. I'm gonna get Me one of them there BMWs with the advanced brake technology.
