  1. Make sure its on a good mixed diet. greens should be available all the time. mix in some veggies like carrots and squash. for your beardies age, he should be eating crickets every day, as many as he can eat. meal worms are also a great treat! i recommend providing a pinkie (live is prefered) about 1-2 times a month. also, dust the crickets with ReptoCal, its good calcium for your beardie.

  2. you cant, you have to let him grow at his own pace! make sure he is getting all the vitamins and nutrients he needs and thats all you can do, if you try to over feed it, theres a good chance you will make it sick and it could die. You cant force it to grow!

  3. i had the same problem with my beardies they grow to the size of their cage and if they dont have a big enough area to run and play they wont get bigger. i bought my lizards a new cage about three months ago and they have grown a lot since then. adult beardies need at least a 50 gallon tank with rocks and tree limbs to climb on

  4. you can't do much all i can think of is make sure he's in an appropriately sized tank and keep feeding him

  5. Without knowing how big and how much he weighs how can you expect a informed answer.Sorry dude, not enough info.

  6. How small is "abnormally small"?

Do you have a sufficient source of UVB?

Do you feed him plenty of gutloaded and dusted food?

Do you have a sufficient sized enclosure?

All of these can effect his growth and cause serious illness.

The only other thing is that it isn't actually a bearded dragon - but a Rankins dragon or a hybrid of the two.

These are very similar in appearance to a bearded dragon but only grow about half of the size.

At over a year old, i doubt that there is much you can do to increase its size.

  7. to the guy who said beardies grow to the size of their tank THEY DO NOT NO ANIMAL DOES NOT EVEN GOLD FISH if you leave it in a small tank it's spine will become deformed etc. Make sure your dragon is getting enough calcium and make sure the UV is high enough to promote heavy bone growth, your lizard might just be naturally small/the runt of the litter.

  8. make sure you are using the correct uv lighting too!

  9. Make sure your beardie is getting lots of calcium with his food. Some just take longer to grow, just keep feeding him the way he should be fed but do not power feed him!

  10. its like humans you cant make him grow hes totaly fine because it sound like your feeding him the right stuff
