Worried my ferret might get sick...?

I havent gotten a ferret yet, but i've been reserching them and i've read that they can get a lot of illnesses, some that requier sergury, and my dad, i know, would NOT pay for ANY sergury. My question is, do they get sick offen/ easily? Or are the people from the websites exagerating? And how do you keep a healthy one?

as long as you make sure you can provide a good home for it it should be fine.....research on everything it needs to be healthy and chances are it won't get sick and will live a long happy, healthy life! hope i helped! good luck!

Depends how well you look after it. give it the right enclosure, food, vet care and it is less likely to get sick. Just because a lot of illnesses and diseases are associated with an animal/breed doesn't mean they will definitely get them.

Look up for info on what they need. The sort of enclosure, where to put the enclosure, how much and what sort of food, things like that.

They can and do get sick alot. Though not often, but the diseases can be fatal. Cancer is a big one among ferrets. Check out this website.
