Worried that they'll see me as Lazy?

I left school in November, I realized the course at my Six form wasn't right either the atmosphere, I was going to get a job but thought it would be better to help my Mum with her child minding, (as I thought she needed a break) I've been helping her since November, 9-5 where it's very tiresome and I barely get 10minutes to myself with 4 screaming kids around (As though someones injected Smarties into them) I've applied for a Course (A Levels-Accounting) starting in September and worried that they'll think I've been lazing about at home, As I have an Interview with the college soon and they'd want to know what I've been doing but I wouldn't have a actual work reference as I've been helping my mum at home,

Whats your thoughts, any advice/help

  1. make a list of the things that you would do to help out with the child minding the challenges you face etc, that will prove you havent been lazy, you can also get your mother to write what responsibilities you have taken on if she is willing to.. p.s. show them your 6 pack and they will know you arent lazy lol!

  2. lazy??? trust me, anyone who has kids will know one is hard work, let alone 4.  You are mother and father to those kids while their parents are absent, without any of the respect or discipline parents have the right to demand.  You are responsible for 4 little lives, their thoughts and feelings.  You nurture and encourage their development without shattering their spirits.  You entertain the hardest audience in the world for 8 hours straight with no autocue and you answer the hardest questions with the trickiest, most diplomatic answers and you're worried about a college interview???

    you'll be fine

  3. Tell the truth, you were working on your abs!

  4. tell them exactly what you just told us.

your not lazy, Im lazy! lol

  5. No you can put this down as voluntary work experience this would actually look good on your CV.

Don't worry many kids sit about doing nothing

  6. All the college are interested in is the per capita grant they get from the government for each student.

Just tell them what you have told us and explain why you want to follow the course you have chosen
