Worst Ten Signings made At Old Trafford By Sir Alex Ferguson – Part 2

Continuation of Part 1:
Kleberson was a part of the Brazilian national team squad that won the World Cup and his national team coach declared him the driving force behind the tournament win. This statement drew almost immediate attention from all major clubs in Europe and Sir Alex
Ferguson made the move to secure this Brazilian.
The Brazilian came along with the Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo and their careers took almost opposite paths. Kleberson came as a replacement for the midfielder Sebastian Veron but sadly the new recruit came equally as disappointing as the player
being replaced.
The transfer was a clear result of this players summer endeavors in the World Cup and Fergie quickly came in to pay six and a half million for him.
The sad part was that this Brazilian can never maintain the form that he had showcased in the World Cup and after another two disappointing years at Old Trafford, he was sold off to Besiktas for around three million and only had about twenty appearances
under his cap.

Eric Djemba-Djemba
Eric Djemba Djemba is the twenty nine year old Cameroon player who fills the spot of a defensive midfielder in his team. He is currently part of the Cameroon national team and he plays in the Dutch League club Odense BK.
He started his senior football career with Nantes in 2001 and after two years in his first club and forty two appearances made with a single goal scored, he made the move to Old Trafford.
He got signed by Manchester United in 2003 for three and a half million Pounds, interestingly when this defender was brought on then he was thought to be a replacement for Roy Keane. Roy Keane is the legendary captain of the Red Devils as he has made more
than three hundred appearances with the Red Devils and has been a part of the team for almost twelve years and was always considered to be an inspirational figure on the football field.
Whereas Eric Djemba Djemba was a sore disappointment as he was a very bad addition into the squad, he only made around twenty appearances with the Devils and was sold off to Aston Villa in 2005 for a measly one and a half million pounds where he turned out
to be even worse.

David Bellion
David Bellion is the twenty eight year old French striker who currently plays for Bordeaux. Most critics claimed his coming to Old Trafford as a repercussion of Thierry Henry’s success in Arsenal.
He started his youth career with Cannes in 1996 and after two years he made it into their first team squad in 1998 and was a part of it till 2001.
Then he made a move to Sunderland and was a part of the squad from 2001-03 and made twenty appearances with them and only scored once.
Then in 2003 he made a move to Manchester United and only managed to make twenty four appearances as a Red Devil and from those performances he only scored four times.
He also made two loan spells when with the Red Devils, one was with West Ham United from 2005-06 and then other one was to Nice in 2006 after which he got transferred to Nice.
