Worst day of my life...?

Question

So I pretty much just had one of the worst days of my life (not exaggerating). Sooo to cheer me up I figured I'd ask "What happened on the worst day of your life?" Thanks!!

PS: I know its horrible to take pleasure in the misfortunes of others and blahblahblah, but you'd be lying if you said you don't every once and awhile.

I was living "on the streets" in Tacoma Washington at 17 years old.

My father had been committed to a mental institution a few months prior because he had a nervous breakdown after my mother divorced him and took the other 2 kids over 2,000 miles away.

I had just given plasma (my life's blood) and was tired and weak.

I was sleeping under an overpass on top of my duct-taped shoes, hoping that no one would try to steal them while I slept.

I was "rolled" that night by a couple of thugs. They beat me pretty badly. They took my wallet containing my $30 I had left from giving blood, and my duct-taped shoes.

There I was laying broken and bleeding in the cold December snow/slush with no shoes and no money feeling completely forsaken by all of Humanity (including my family and friends) and by God.

I'll have to say THAT was a pretty bad day for me.

Although, I'm sure that there are other people out there who have probably had worse.

Did a loved one die? Did you live through excruciating pain. Did you starve? Not have a place to live? Are alone on the planet. Lose a sense? Grow up, you brat. Anyone else feel this way?

got up and saw a HUGE rat run pass the fridge i dropped my breakfast  the dish broke i was in trouble i got grounded and lost my favorite game ...

lol, my mom and dad died in a car accident when I was 15, so instead of sending me to become an orhpan and be adopted, the state made me legally an adult..I had to take care of myself without a job or family, and deal with the depression of losing my mom and dad..It was tough, I lived in the house that my family lived in for a few months before all the utilities were turned off, and I got evicted, so I stayed in an abandoned trailer that was near my house.

-  age lends a certain perspective to this question. at fifty, i've seen a lot of bad days. however, through all the job losses and other chaos, i would say the worst day was when my grandfather died. for about two days after that, i felt removed or distant  from the people around me.

I don't know what you consider the worst day of your life, but i can't imagine that it is too bad. Usually things that we consider bad at one point in our life, work out in the end. Like when a girl i dated in high school for a long time broke up with me, i ended up meeting the woman i married because of it. chin up, and try to enjoy the rest of this week.
