  1. Drink a small amount of the substance you drank that got you drunk, take some  tylenol and drink plenty of fluid to flush the alcohol out of your body and rehydrate you. Alcohol causes dehydration. Truly if you drink some of the alcohol that you had last night it will help you.

  2. Yes, lots of water, then coffee, then toast with peanut butter.

  3. Tylenol is NOT advised -- there have been cases of instant liver failure tied to taking acetaminophen while alcohol was in the system.  I won't take it at all for this reason.

However, aspirin and ibuprofen are relatively safe on that count.  They have stomach effects, and if you have stomach trouble (I mean more like "at risk for an ulcer", rather than feeling like puking) are to be avoided.

If you don't have stomach trouble, I'd recommend aspirin.  One of the effects that aspirin has, that other painkillers lack, is that it's a slight blood-thinner and has the effect of improving blood flow.

Hangovers are caused by a couple of different causes:

    (a) dehydration

    (b) alcohol byproducts hanging around in your system

Dehydration is the major cause, but it takes more than water to hydrate you: you also need to replenish electrolytes.  Gatorade if you like gatorade; if not, take a glass of water with a pinch of lite salt (or a pinch of normal salt and a banana for potassium) and repeat until feeling better.  Eating salty food is also helpful here.  Especially a salty soup.

Aspirin will help largely because the increased blood flow compensates for the dehydration.

As for getting rid of the nasty byproducts, I suspect fatty food helps speed them out of your system, also take C and B vitamins and according to the article here, garlic: also some obscure ones you probably don't have on hand.

I usually prevent hangovers by taking some milk thistle, some aspirin and a glass of water before I go to bed -- remember that next time. :-)

  4. and make sure that's spring water, drinking lots of water is a fast way to flush the body. you can also get some key limes and juice them then sweeten the juice with a lot of agave nectar and i meeean sweet drink and go to sleep( you should have this made before you goo out next time, even keep it in your ride, just for future purposes. And remember drink lots of water man

  5. 1.  Drink plenty of spring water........room temperature to rehydrate yourself.

    2.  l**k at teaspoons of sugar........this will help you overcome the nausea.......if you are a diabetic forget the sugar.

    3.  I think it is vitamin B1 you want to take....someone else will correct me if I am wrong.

    4.  Sip some lukewarm broth......chicken or vegetable.

  6. Here are some little tips that usually work, hope it can help you!

    1. Sleep!

    2. Drink plenty of water, and juice (orange juice for Vitamin C), and gatorade, avoid caffeine, because it will just dehydrate you more.

    3. Eat foods that are rich in minerals, such as pickles, and canned tuna, or any other canned fish (if you can handle it, drinking pickle juice helps too)

    4. Go in the shower, and keep switching the water from hot to cold

    5. Alka Seltzer Morning Relief!

    6. Try exercising, or some sort of physical activity.

    7. DO NOT USE ASPRIN, TYLENOL, OR IBUPROFEN! It can intensify the hangover, and even damage your liver, and cause stomach bleeding.

    8. Before hitting the hay, drink a lot of water and take a multi B vitamin.

  7. it's fingers down the throat time i'm afraid

  8. I was told to drink acidic drink before bad mistake..

Drink a sports drink to replace electrolytes, eat bunch of carbs, rest, chill on the meds can mess with liver so wait out taking anything till alcohol gets out of system. Next time drink water while your drinking and eat good before hand and before you fall asleep drink oj and water and eat peanut butter and bread to help absorb some of the booze. Also from experience its not the best then to binge. Sorry you feel so bad.

  9. Plenty of Water!!

  10. If you can get a pint of water into yourself BEFORE you hit the sack then dehydration will be minimal and greatly reducing the hangover effect;#.Other than that drink it right away and if you can step outside and get the fresh air. Youre brain needs oxygen!

  11. Yeah, lots and lots of water...

    and Xanax

  12. I heard grease food helps. Like bacon and eggs. I know bacon works.

  13. A little hair of the dog will do it.
