Worst neighbors ever?

My neighbors dogs never stop barking. They have been barking for 6 hours now. I live in a town home. They only bark when someone is not there, but when they are home it is loud music and people coming and going all hours of the night. Late night party's on the weekends.

My husband and I work weekends and different hours during the week. I have and so has one other neighbor complained about the noise to the association. We also have two young children. We have not been able to turn the air off in the nice weather since our windows would have to be open, and would have to listen to the noise all the time from them.

We also share a front yard with them that they do not clean up their dog poo from. What do we do when we love our house and neighborhood?

file a complaint and get everyone on tha block to sign it or u could tell them to stop bein such *****

first for the dog mess

- pick it up one time and put it on their door step so maybe they could feel the inconvenience

second the noise:

if you call enough times the police will enforce the no noise after a certain hour rule

your police will have a non-emergency line, when you call 911 say, hello, this is xxxxx and this is a non emergency call, do you have another line that you would like me to use. Sorry but if you have gone through everything else then the police are your only recourse.

we also could not open our windows for years because of the dog poo and the loud music, drunken fights, and trailer trash in tube tops.

if you have a noise ordinance in your neighborhood you could just call the cops until they get the hint

Well if you've tried everything you can and you dont want to move then you need to fight fire with fire. Show them what it feels like to be constantly woken up throughout the night by loud noises.

call the cops for public disturbance whenever they have a party...

keep complaining to the homeowners assosiation...

take it into your own hands and say something to them!!!!!

Try talking to them about it in a friendly manner. If that doesn't work you can always go to the police.

Talk to the landlord and tell him if he doesn't do something about it U will move out and U would have every right to do so.  Good Luck!!

I'd say talk to the neighbours first and explain them about your situation of feeling uncomfortable. Tell them exactly how you feel - from the inside of your heart.

If they aren't willing to change the situation, just talk to the cops and they'll talk to them.

i call the local council to get the dogs yap stopping and if they visit like more than 3 times the dog is removed lol. and dont call 911 call the police through the offine phone lol its better :)

The Homeowners Association must address this situation, immediately.  It is one of their primary functions to maintain a peaceful living environment. Request that it be added to the agenda for the next meeting and get all the other neighbors to back you up.

Call the dog warden!  Call the cops...to heck with the association.  And KEEP COMPLAINING....

I had that same problem..and you wouldn't believe what happened.  They let their dog out and it got lost...a very little one...and we found it in our yard...dead.  They had an autopsy done on it and the vet said our dog killed it.  So the cops came over and said the vet said someone killed the dog and put it in their freezer for a week and then said they found it.  (long story but to make it short......but I gave them a card she sent me  to tell me to watch my dogs...because a coyote got it at 5 am.... and when we found it a week later....there was NOT ONE  mark on that dog...not ONE...I gave it to the cops so they knew she lied).

Well....BRING ON CSI!  SEARCH MY FREEZER FOR EVIDENCE!  My dogs are so well behaved that when the cops came they laid at their feet and never barked !  The cops petted them and said...my dogs could not have done anything....(I have three dogs).  

I love dogs...but after I got the dog warden to show the cops about ALL the people that complained about them and about their messing on our doorsteps etc....THEY GOT FINED and warned that one more time and one more complaint and they dogs would be taken.  So COMPLAIN and COMPLAIN and COMPLAIN...and have others complain too.  IT will work.  You have a right to your peace...and quiet..and it is up to them as responsible dog owners to TRAIN and make those dogs behave.  It isn't THAT difficult to make them behave!

Like children...dogs get blamed for bad behavior when it is the PARENTS and the owners that are BAD people and need to be corrected.  They have no business having them.
