The likes of AC Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127, Chelsea and Arsenal all failed to register wins in their respective games much to the disappointment of their respective fans
The recently concluded weekend of various leagues in Europe turned out to be an eventful one to say the least with the likes of Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Juventus and Bayern Munich showing character, strength and proving their credentials by registering
wins that keep them on top of their respective league standings.
However, there were quite a few teams that simply failed to turn in the required performances and left their fans thoroughly disappointed.
Bettor.com now takes a look at few of the results that will have serious repercussions for the respective teams.
Arsenal 3-3 Fulham (Emirates Stadium)
It seems that the recently finished week was a week of surrendering comfortable goal leads by English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 FC. After drawing 2-2 at the home of Schalke 04 in the Champions League encounter which Arsene Wenger’s side was leading 2-0
initially, the Londoners kept the tradition alive on their own turf.
After Olivier Giroud and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 and Alexander Kacaniklic levelled proceedings for Martin Jol’s men who then went on to get the lead by converting a Berbatov penalty kick in the 69th
minute.
Although Olivier Giroud pulled one back for the Gunners, the game will be considered as two points dropped by Wenger’s men. A great game for the neutral but not for a team that is languishing in eight place in the English Premier League.
AC Milan 1-3 Fiorentina (San Siro)
Will the Milanese giants ever be able to one day get their head out of the water? The answer to that question for now is now. The Rossoneri were hopeful to see their fortunes turn around after managing to avoid defeat in their last three Serie A outings.
However, a new shipwreck has been left to deal with after their home defeat at the hands of Fiorentina. In an incredibly apathetic manner, Massimiliano Allegri’s men conceded two goals in the first half and woke up too late for their liking.
Allegri’s future at the club is now under more threat than ever before as his side flirt with the relegation zone, something no one expected in the beginning of the season.
Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool are just not able to register a win in the Premier League at the moment. After a run of draws at home, Brendon Rodgers’ side travelled to London to face Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. The game saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 mark his return with a goal but once
again, it was Luis Suarez who saved his side’s skin adding to his growing tally of goals.
Where will http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo who must be banging his head on the wall for not being able to guide his side to a win that would have cut short Manchester
United’s lead at the top.
Both Manchester clubs came from behind to register good wins which is an early indicator of the fact that come the final furlong of the season, it might once again be those two teams vying for Premier League success.
