For me the worst: is Having on my favorite channel Jetix Miley Cyrus singing and Zac Efron in HSM,best that happened is Linkin Park i can't stop listening to them.

I dont like rap but DISCO was even worse.  

There are many things that can qualify as the worse things that happened.  What comes to mind is the murder of John Lennon, Elvis's death, Kurt Cobain suicide, Seems like we lose a great musician every few weeks.  

MTV of the 80's was great MTV today is awful.

One of the best things would be Tegan and Sara, and I can't say worst because no one can really judge what's worst and what's best I think. I don't really find anyone that bad that I'd say they're the worst anyway.

The worst thing to happen to music was modern "rap/hip hop", followed closely by the whole "emo/modern punk" load.

Best:  Artists have to write their own songs more and Alicia Keys is the most talented right now and doesnt rely on her looks lol

worst thing i think is MTV, i know it's a cliche to say that, but they just make the beauty of music sleazy, tacky and ugly.  best, i'd have to say is the acknowledgment of sca and Vampire Weekend and Of Montreal.  it's just wonderful, but i hate MTV.
