Question:

Worthwhile attractions in Florence, Rome and Naples

I'll be traveling to Italy soon and I've browsed through many a travel guide, but I'd really appreciate feedback from people who've been to any of these cities. Anywhere in particular that I should absolutely visit? I'm up for anything...shopping, galleries, museums, gardens, historical sites, festivals, places to eat.

Thanks!

  1. any of the two castles in Naples. Plus any pizzeria in Naples :P

The church where experiments on humans were taken place including blood on the floor from hundreds of years ago.  The basillica in naples (any church in naples actually).

  2. Florence:

    Gli Uffizi Gallery

    L'Accademia

    Palazzo Pitti gardens

    Via Calzaiouli shopping avenue

Mastro  Brunetta ristorante near the Stadium, best in town

Piazzale Micheangelo & Forte Belvedere,.best sights of the City.

  3. I really enjoyed the Boboli Gardens in Florence near the Ponte Vecchio bridge (worth seeing too) We got the red topless tour bus thing, it has 2 routes and 1 of them takes you to nearby village Fiesole which looks over Florence giving stunning views. Michelangelo's David is in the Accademia Gallery and is stunningly beautiful but there wasn't much else of note in there. We waited 90 mins to get in but if in Florence more than a day it's worth paying 3-4 more Euros for an advanced ticket which gives you a specific entry time and avoids crazy queueing action.

In Rome highlights included The Trevi fountain, climbing the Copulla at St. Peter's Cathedral (enter on the right of the church) and the Roman Forums right beside the Colosseum. We got a Roma Pass from the hotel for €20 which gave you unlimited Metro and bus travel for 3 days and access to 2 tourist attractions which would have cost €10 each anyway so well worth it. It lets you skip any big queue too!

Didn't make it as far as Naples sorry.

  4. florence the city of dreams- what you are looking for you will find go to the Marquet  you will love it

    I wish I was there

  5. in florence and rome everywhere you go there is somenthing to know...florence thousands of museums squares and buildings in rome well there`s the colosseum il foro there are so many things in naplea as well but i think that if tou go to naples you should see sorrento capri amalfi and positano as well

  6. In Rome you could go to the vatican city, la fontana di trevi, piazza di spagna, castel sant' angelo, st peters square, coloseeum, foro romano, sistine chapel and the pantheon.

I been to all those places and ther within easy reach of eachother but the best is the vatican city i think!
