  1. i think it depends on you. i had to take this survey and it asked how i drank and i usually drink like beer bongs and like a billion shots during friday- sunday and my therapist said it would be healthier if i drank throughout the week a little instead of drowning in it for 3 days.

  2. too much alcohool will eventually damage your kidneys, heart, lungs etc.. so if you drink waaaay to much, in 30 years or so you could die

  3. Yep. Do that for a hundred years and you'll probably be quite dead.

Seriously, if you cut back to one or two beers per day, you'd be reaping health benefits from your drinking, not damaging your body. Beer, especially the dark beers, is right up there with red wine as a health food.

  4. I hope not because I drink way more than that . I drink more than  I have at least 40 a week and 2 fiths of Captain morgan a week

  5. 3-5 beers is on the lower end of the dangerous drinking scale.  It will probably lead to something, way the h**l down the road, as in more than 25 years. You may very well die of something unrelated well before the alcohol causes any problems.  Even if it were to cause a problem, simply cutting back would prevent further damage.

I've seen people who drank about a handle of vodka a day.  It took them about 7 years to ultimately die from it.  It was obvious they had cirrhosis, and continued to drink.  I mean, a handle of vodka is about 35 shots.  And they did that every day.  For 7 years.

The only real problem I see with this level of consumption is the relative ease to become dependent.  If that happens, you can bet it won't be 3-5 drinks a day.  Without the alcohol, the person would become desperate for alcohol, and likely have some negative physical reaction to that, thus necessitating further consumption.

To answer some of your other questions:  Yeah, alcohol can really kill someone.  In fact, alcohol withdrawl can directly kill a person.  If you don't have a drink and notice that you are shaking, this can lead to death (not the shaking per se, but because the brain is getting signals mixed up and may not be able to control the heart, and that will kill you).  Even without a liver problem, the withdrawls could be fatal (there is a medical detox to make sure that doesnt happen).  Generally, with cirrhosis you can tell because you a) get drunk on less alcohol b) bruise easily.  And being drunk every day would affect your life.  Besides the obvious negative health effects, there's likely to be difficulty maintaining friendships / romantic relations, as well as a job / income.  Remember, drinking a lot costs a lot.

    Hope that helps.

  6. i am pretty sure drinking 4 or 5 beers a day plus a few shots for a number of years will lead to liver problems down the road. even if its 20 years from now, you do not want to know what its like to have liver failure.

  7. No..

  8. depends on your health! its diferent for diferent people. you may dye \ doing something really dumb while drunk one time though. Your a major alcholic if you really do drink that much.

  9. Absolutely not.  You're well within the bounds of acceptable drinking.  The liver is amazingly resilient, and unless you're really genetically screwed, you'll be fine.  On a 1-10 scale, this would maybe be 3.  No worries.

Oh, and who said alcohol affects your LUNGS!?!  How exactly would it do that, unless you were inhaling it?

  10. Uhh unless your getting totally wasted your fine its all about your bodys natural tolerance to alcohol.
