Would 6 IB(international Baccalaureate) certificates equal five GCSE grades at grade C? ?

I have already sat my IB exams and wasnt successful in getting my diploma so therefore I have certificates. And the course I want to do at uni only requires 5 GCSE's grade C. Im from america so I dont have these qualifications.

Oh and also are IB certificates considered qualifications if they are just taken on there own??

I get the feeling that you don't know much about IB.

6 certificates would be silly, when you could take 6 subjects for a diploma (plus CAS, TOK, and an EE).

And IB is MUCH harder than GCSE's. IB is harder than A-levels.
