  1. yes

  2. It is very likely that he would. Five others have tried in the last couple of years and they have all bombed out!

  3. TIME WILL TELL

  4. I quite like Shearer but i dont think that he is management material, he currently has a cozy life as a BBC pundit so why throw that away to take on possibly  the hardest job in football. He would have to be either extreamly brave or extreamly stupid  to take on the Newcastle job after what Keegan has said about how the club is run.

  5. yup he would

  6. No one in their right mind would want to manage Newcastle at the moment.

In some ways I wish Shearer wouldn't try to be manager of Newcastle because his popularity would falter and at the moment he's a legend - despite often being a rather dull pundit

  7. A flop compared to who?

The reason why Newcastle go through so many managers is because expectation far outweighs what newcastle have ever achieved. They demand cups and championships, yet have never won them in the past. Why expect them now?

  8. I think so. He may be taking his coaching qualifications but he's not even managed a local sunday league team. He is woefully under-experienced.

  9. Please be kind to me as my tears are falling like rain at the moment.

What a fiasco!  What is happening to our beloved team and where will it all end?

Shearer, and anyone else will be mad to come to Newcastle at the moment.

    I am in deep mourning.

Keegan, Keegan . Why did you forsake us in our hour of need.

  10. Shearer, a great, iconic player for his club. Why do Newcastle fans think this would translate to success on a mangerial level?

Shearer is not the answer, a wholesale clearout of the board is not the answer (but i can imagine quite preferable to the fans this morning). The only thing NUFC need is stability and a chairman who will leave the manager to MANAGE

    Wish them the best

    A Gooner

  11. There is no way Shearer would come to Newcastle now after what Ashley has done to Keegan.None of the fans would blame him either.

  12. no he has supproters respect and beats that okay he not te best but no hatin ppl

  13. He's got no experience under management, if he had some one like poyet to direct him then he might me ok, but if Wise stays then he'll have no chance.

  14. He has no managerial experience at all so yes.

  15. He doesn't have the experience, given how steep a hill Newcastle has to climb, it would be good if he could go off and get some experience and give the Newcastle job a go in the future:)

  16. why cant newcastle let a manager  manage the team?

  17. Yes. A glorious, hilarious failure.

He'd be off MoTD and we'd get to laugh at him. Result.

  18. Shearer ... alrite hez been on the Magpies as a player but he has no wealth of coachin experience watsoever. Keegan was rite for the job i believe. i dunt think Shearer wud be a flop but he wud have a hard time gettin support frm the management and his players aren't performing well. furthermore, the loss of James Milner was a real mental blow for the Magpies. Shearer mite just save the team from relegation but then anyone else cud.

  19. Newcastle the Poison Chalice. No one will do any good @ Newcastle unless they find themselves either a Russian Oil Billionaire, Saudi Prince, etc.

  20. one thing i think about shearer - he's not stupid.

i don't think he would be as blind as to take that job.

    he knows the score there.

i think they will have trouble with a replacement with wise still there.

i feel really sorry for all u nufc fans

  21. i dont think anyone would be interested in managing a team where you have no say in the players you bring in

  22. If Shearer ever decides to go into management he'd be better off starting in the lower leagues so as to gain experience, I don't think any manager will be successful at St James'  even Shearer, unless he gets total control over the team, but more and more teams are taking these powers away from their managers these days.
