If so how many would it take to really rock the boat?

Don't answer by asking another question either. If you have a question email me and I will respond, to the best of my ability.

  1. Most do not trust the government as we did years ago. There are some small changes that if made would make a big difference.

    >Term limits, no Senators for life like Senator 'byrd p**p'.

    >End the corporate lobby

    >Limit campaign spending

    >Abolish the electoral college in favor of popular vote.

  2. the trick about people control?not letting the people know they are being controlled

  3. Millions of honest, hard-working people are insulted daily by do-nothing anti-(fill-in-the-blank) people who distance themselves from the government and add nothing to our country but filling their own bank account.

    They call the government corrupt.

It's easy.  They see a representative on the news, they've done something illegal, therefore, the "GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT".

Doesn't matter that compared to the general public, the number of politicians who actually commit crimes is a tiny minority, making them look like saints in comparison.  The general public continues to not wonder why politicians are always in the news...

...but most ex-felons never seem to make the cut for the news, no matter how many crimes they commit.  Not rare enough.

People then confuse the news for reality.

    Silly.

Then there is the socialist cry for reform.  Government is corrupt, big business is evil.  Never mind that it has given us  one of the highest standards of living in the history of the world.  Never mind that we are the most powerful nation in the world.  Never mind that we are the most charitable nation in the world.  Never mind that we are the most free nation in the world.  Never mind that we have more allies than any country in the world.

We are corrupt.  Must be.  They say so.  No proof needed but that less than 0.01% of all representatives ever get taken to court over a crime, and even less are convicted.

Must be fixed.   Couldn't be anything else.

    "Guilty until proved innocent".

Amazing how that one little principle is good enough for us, but we won't extend it to our own representatives, or even our own government.

I give them that right in my words, my statements.

    I'm a patriot.

  4. I believe we have many fighting to stop the potential problems we face. Everyone is not blind to the underhanded ways of our government. We have done something.we faxed, wrote and called to let them know what we didn't want. Now they are like pouting children and will try to put bits and pieces into every legislation. As with all children we must let them know.we watch their every move.

  5. That's no secret that our government is corrupt.

The problem is, what to do about it.

I'd love to see all new uncorrupted members on both sides, good honest people.

    No more sellouts.

  6. I am starting to think that middle America has become so complacent that they would probably do nothing. The only thing that would change that would be if the economy collapsed.

  7. OBVIOUSLY NOT.

The real question is will they stand up and resist Martial Law when it comes? I sure hope so.

  8. YES - when special interest groups tried to push through the amnesty bill Americans stood up and stopped the effort to make 12 million illegal aliens U.S. citizens. The effort was corrupt as it signaled an okay to violate federal laws; it was corrupt because the effort was to give benefit to special interest groups who would benefit from the low pay accepted by the illegal aliens. Seeing how effective the pressure from citizens can control political actions should be a STRONG SIGNAL to all of us to stay alert to corrupt government and take action to see our rights are protected. Threats come from within our government as much as anywhere else; when we have corrupt politicians we need to get them out of office, NOW, not the next election!

  9. Many of the Agencies ARE CORRUPT, and yet very little

    is being done about it

IT TAKES "ONE PERSON''  "ONE ACT'' TO ''ROCK THE

    BOAT''.

I once knew a DHS Worker, who had been in an office,

for several years, and  she was part of a Drug Ring, and

drugs were being provided to the public and to Clients

of DHS, and when the "Family Unity" went down, DHS

then took the children and ''gave most of them away".

The Drug Ring...most of the people involved, ''went down''

but the Part on the Children, was not investigated that I

know of, and this Drug Ring, involved a local nightclub

owner(s), and a local Sheriff Department employees,

and several other family members of the Worker.

Also, the Volunteer Drivers, Were & had been, for years,

Sexually Abusing / raping the female DHS Clients...

(I knew of one woman, who had been taken to the doctor

in town several miles away, and had to have an injection

which made her ''druggy", and the man raped her, when

the woman was helpless). I knew of this...from Actual

    Facts Discovered.

And not long ago, there was an Assistant DA, and a DHS

Supervisor (male), who made sure a ''certain couple"

had very young male children, be put in that foster home,

and the adults mentioned above, used these children,

for ''child pornography", giving the children some medicine

so ''they wouldn't be able to remember what happened to

    them".

If this isn't Corruption then I dont' know what is....

(I'm sure that investigations on stuff like this are taking place

    in many areas).

  10. Yea, people who think the U.S. is corrupt now, because of whos in power will deny its corrupt if a Dem is President, because the person they wanted in office lost, or rhey realize Bush is doing a better job than Clinton did, not to mention they whine about the War in Iraq, when we pulled a dictator out of power, when Clinton fought a war in Somalia for what? exactly, nothing, but people who think our government is corrupt now are so one sided its not even funny, just because you dont agree with whats going on, or because you dont like whos in charge, doesnt mean theres anything underhanded going on, get a life.

  11. 65% of USA believes, the Earth is flat, the pope is god and there must be some reason for us to be in Iraq. 90% believe, we need the military for our freedom. and 96% believe, the uSA is the richest nation on earth, albeit it slipped to 19th place per capita last year.

  12. Our government is thoroughly corrupt. But the Democrats and Republicans have divided us up, and in that way they keep the corruption going. When we refuse to elect either party, we will have a chance to clean up the mess. I doubt I will live to see that.

  13. the peace movement during the vietnam war was pretty powerful. the country pushed nixon out. i think that such a movement would be powerful. you would have to have the media to disseminate the facts. it would have to be a movement involving all age groups and economic classes. i have no idea of a number, but it would have to be substantial. and last, it would have to be country wide. then we might have a chance.

  14. It IS corrupt.  That's one of the reasons why I'm here, to try to convince people of that and encourage them to vote more responsibly in the next election.

Encouraging torture, wiretapping phones without proper authorization, ignoring Congressional subpoenas, and awarding a huge contract to Halliburton -- without considering any other contractors -- in return for a $20,000,000 "retirement package" (read "bribe") are enough signs of corruption for me, and that isn't even all.  Those are just the most glaring ones.

I've seen exactly the same attitude up close in the leadership of a local club, and that attitude is, "We don't have to answer to anyone or explain our actions because we're in power and there's nothing you can do about it."  Let's prove them wrong in 2008.

  15. Most people know that the US government is corrupt and that it is corrupt to the core.  It has been so for a long time, it has just been very good at spin and at hiding it (and to be perfectly honest people have been really willing to turn a blind eye to it as well)

It is right to says that most governments around the world are corrupt to some degree but I don't think that is a reason to tolerate it at home.

As the US is militarily the most powerful country in the world, people might be inclined to be a little bit more concerned that it is corrupt to the extent that it is.  That amount of power in the hands of a self-serving government is pretty disastrous for the whole world.  Unfortunately only the people of the US can really do anything about it and they seem to be unable or unwilling to really believe the depths to which their governments have gone in order to further their own agenda.

(I live in a country that is inextricably tied to the US and I am threatened by other nations because of the US, but there is not much I can do about and it scares the heck out of me.)

  16. Yes, most Americans would do something alright; demand more 'koolaid™' and lower gasoline prices... in other words, most would turn up the tv or go back to sleep. Sorry, 'we have met the enemy, it is us.'

Because in my opinion, waking up to the reality of system wide rot just runs so contrary to the daily life and fantasy/reality of most Americans. Our conditioning and indoctrination is pervasive. Most were trained to follow leaders, not be independent and self reliant.

Belief is a funny thing, for if we hear a lie repeatedly, we begin to believe it, and accept it as truth. Finding the truth (despue´s de) is even more remote a possibility, new obstacle of lies to hurdle.

  17. Americans only see corruption if it is from the opposition party and in that case they turn disagreements into corruption. It is a sad state of affairs

  18. I think in many ways the boat is sinking.  I know you said you don't want questions, but doesn't the staff of life look like the walking stick of a sheep Herder?  Sorry 'bout that.  I think we need that Bush Baked Been dog to s-p-e-l-l  it out for us.  Established authority is threatened by revolution which becomes established authority and is in kind threatened by revolution.  There ARE a lot of hungry people out there that are not getting a hand up, just the finger.

  19. It is corrupt.  Some are doing things, but will probably ultimately fail.  It has become a country of "us vs them".  "They" are rich, white bureaucrats and "we" are just the slaves that sit below them and make them richer.

  20. It is the most corrupt nation on earth, except for all the rest of them.

Seriously, you wouldn't believe what corruption really looks like, until you have to pay the policeman for letting you through an intersection!
