i would say no if you live in the USA...bender is not such a good thing .... for example:

"i went on a total bender last week, i was drunk everyday."

"i went on a bend last month, smokin whatever i could all day long.  it was nuts!"

I always associate "bender" with negative things b/c that is what i was exposed to in high school :(

My personal preference would be no. She would get teased so often in school and kids are mean enough as it is without giving them ammunition. If you were planning on living in Germany it might be different.
