Would Brett Favre still be a Packer if Mike Holmgren was still the Packers coach? Maybe I just don't like Mike McCarthy, but for some reason I don't think Mike Holmgren would have let a quarterback go who just had one of their best seasons.

  1. No one knows the answer to that. Its not McCarthy's fault, Favre did this to himself.

  2. i believe so their relationship was pretty good so holmgren wouldnt have acted like a child like that dumbass mccarthy

  3. Actually I think if Holmgren had stayed in Green Bay he would have either retired or had a heart attack long before Brett retired and unretired which we knew he was going to do anyway.

That said - I don't think Holmgren would have set things up the way McCarthy did... MC just wanted to move on last spring... wrong bucko.  Yeah it's his team, he's the coach, but there's more to it than being "the decider."  McC should have set up an open competition all along:  "OK Brett - if you change your mind and show up at camp, just realize that you'll have to fight for your job along with Aaron and Brian."

I think that's how Holmgren would set it up.  We're going to miss him up here in the NW - Go Seahawks.  I hope we beat GB in the NFC Championships and win the superbowl against the Jets.

Wouldn't that be special and weird!?!?!  However unlikely...

  4. Without a doubt.
