You do not know what her mother explained to her or not. There are plenty of unwed pregnant teenagers that took s*x ed and still became pregnant, as well as those that are taught abstinence only.  Teenagers do not always listen to what they were taught and don't always practice what they are taught otherwise there would not be so many unplanned pregnancies.

Besides what I see as a huge double standard it shows that even Obama supporters are starting to see just how weak and unexperienced he is  and how weak his platform is.

Obama campaigned on hope, change, and new direction. Yet he picked as his VP a Washington insider who has been in Washington 5 years longer than McCain. He picked Biden to give him some foreign policy cred. yet Bidens record shows that he has be on the wrong side of just about every major foreign policy vote. Obama's policies are not new they are very old and have been tried at least three time before. Of the three times they were tried before they got two candidates one term and one candidate never got elected.

You have to live in a cave these days not to know about birth control and how pregnancys happen.  s*x ed is taught in schools, it is all over the media in different forms and for heavens sake, kids still talk to each other.  I am sure Mrs. Palin discussed the facts of life with her daughter.  So perhaps your goverment run schools are the ones who let poor Bristol down...what are they teaching in those mandated and required s*x-ed classes???

Edit:  Lest we forget it takes 2 people to get pregnant.  How come its always the girls fault?  She cannot do this on her own.  Maybe the boys parents didnt teach him to put a lid on it.  So I guess its the boys fault cause without him she couldnt have gotten pregnant.

You are delusional if you believe her daughter did not have access to contraception.  This isn't about Sarah Palin.  Rather, the choices that her daughter made (or didn't make) are now being used to chop at Sarah Palin.

I am from Alaska and there is plenty of access to contraception, whether purchased from the stores, or from multitudes of health clinics and medical facilities.  

Because her mother values abstinence, that means it is her fault for her daughter's actions?

The girl was only 17, I have no intention of handing my 17 year old daughter condoms & as for her knowing the "facts of life", I'm sure she did, but hormones some times over rule common sence, as you may or may not know.
