uk = region code 2

So no, the only way to play one on the other is to use a region free dvd player, but most are region 1 in the U.S.

CDs would work.

As for DVDs, it depends if your player plays code 1 (US region) DVDs as well. Some players can play all codes (a.k.a. region free players), like the one I have.

Dvds - no

USA dvds are region 1 and Uk region 2, this means to watch a USA film in the uk you would need a USA dvd player and vica versa

CDS - yes they work fine
