Would Dwarf Gourami be a good addition to a 90 gallon tank with 3 Angelfish, 5 silver dollars, and 3 pictus?

I'm looking to add a little color to my tank, and I love Gouramis so I'm wondering if I can add them. I know kissing gouramis are aggressive, and blue gouramis as well, so I'm not adding those.

I'm interested in Dwarf Gouramis because of their color, but I know that they are much smaller than their tankmates (5" and up, in comparison to a 3" dwarf gourami), but will the combo work out anyway? If so, how much gouramis should I add?

  1. I wouldn't think so. The other fish you have are pretty aggressive. I wanted to put dwarf gouramis with Silver Dollars, but I couldn't because the pet store lady said they wouldn't work out well together. Your Gourami would probably get attacked.

  2. Without the silver dollars they'd probably by a good addition.  The sd's are just too active to be kept with them.  You might try pearl or snakeskin gouramis.
