  1. ~~It depends on your policy. Call the number on your card and they will tell you your benefit information. Remember with a HMO you must be referred by your primary care doc if you do have coverage, so they will pay the claim.

  2. Yes, I have the same plan.  My wife was joking around one day saying "does our insurance cover a shrink cause you are driving me crazy?"  I always have to get the last word so I looked it up and emailed it to her and made her an appointment.  She never went though.

  3. Cheer up.

You'll have to talk with Blue Cross about your specific plan to see if it is covered.

  4. Yes as it is considered behavioral health.

  5. It's going to depend on which plan, and which state.  You are going to have to call the number on the back of your card to find out.

  6. You have to make an appointment with your Primary Care Physician so you can obtain a referral for mental health.  Your HMO will have a listing of mental health providers that are covered (you can find this on the HMO website or by calling customer service).  You will then be able to make an appointment with a mental health counselor.

    Good Luck!

  7. yes, but you have to call them to get an authorization
