Would Hatton have beat Mayweather at Light Welterweight when Mayweather was in the division?

  2. absolutely not.  Hatton is simply not in the same class as Mayweather.  Nothing against Hatton, but he and May could fight at any weight and he would not win.  

    Fighting at a lighter weight would do nothing but improve Mays speed.  His speed was a big factor in their fight, and with that as a bigger advantage, I simply don't see Hatton being able to do anything to change the outcome.

    Jonesy- The weight that Hatton is fighting at IS NOT the reason he lost to Mayweather.  Mayweather, is quicker, stronger, and bigger.  A move down in weight will not change that.  Also, Mayweather has been in the ring with and beaten MUCH STIFFER competition than Hatton ever has.
