Would I Be Able To Return A Itunes gift card I have the reciept?

I got it for my brithday from a friend and i don't need it so can i return it? I never used it or anything .

No you can't, you might as well use it, I never understood why, but gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

I think it is because you can basically take any gift card cand get cash, I'm not sure why.

depends on how long its past the date. some might only have a week. some may take it for exchange for another item.
