Question:

Would I be a instate student or out of state?

I wanted to go to schoo during the summer session but may not be able to if I am considered out of state in the state of NC. The school is requesting 2006 tax returns with I filed in GA. I think that this is for the purpose of determining if I qualify for the pell grant financially. I am not sure if they use this to determine residency.

During the time I lived in GA, I still maintained my address in NC. My drivers license never changed over or anything.

Does it sound like ill be considered in-state or out-of-state? Any input is appreciated.

  1. my parents own property in that state, as well as another.  i was able to be considered 'in state' for both states because my parents paid taxes to both states.
