Would I be abl eto get away with a RASHGuard and bordshorts in mid September?

I'm a beginner surfer, and I'm not sure if I'm still really into surfing. So I'm taking a surfing class at the NEWPORT PIER (Southern Cali.) during the month of September, and I was wondering do I have to buy a wetsuit, or would I be able to get away with just a rashguard and bordshorts?

A rashguard and boardshorts should be fine.  If you are taking your lesson from Kim Hamrock, she has wetsuits and vests if you need one.

ya u should b ok. Newport is usually still hot in september but wen it closer if u notice that its gettin colder then u may want to wear a wetsuit but u should b ok
