Would I be able to easily find a watermelon in stores come early November?

I'm planning a baby shower and wanted to use a watermelon for the centerpiece I'm doing, but the shower isn't until early November. I don't want to plan a watermelon theme and then not be able to find any in the stores. (I'm in Colorado if that makes a difference)

Seems like watermelonsare available year round now; although the price will be probably be higher, and sometimes they are not as sweet.

You should be able to, although they'll be more money then.  You could certainly find one at Whole Foods, or similar store to that:)  I've always been able to find them to make fruit salad for Thanksgiving...... Hopefully, you can even find a small Colorado melon (since those are the best)
