I just came back from JA . I stayed out in the country (Hanover Parish) and it is just so beautiful, so amazing. Would it be possible for me to buy a home there? Are there restrictions for international buyers? Thanks.

  1. Sure! It could take up to 4 months to do the paper work tho. Lots do it so they can have a home to retire to or for investment (resell or rent).

If you have all the cash its great if not, you can borrow up to 95% and stand the 5% difference.

  3. You're giving me a good idea...

That must be nice to live there when I'm retired, always sun, beach and girls...

  4. You can own property in Jamaica and there are no restrictions. They even offer mortgages from some commercial banks to foreigners.
