Question:

Would I be able to find clothes that fit me in Japan?

I'm aware that the women there are pretty tiny compared to Americas. Adding more to the problem, I'm African-American so I'm going to have the stereotypical large but and big b***s; so lets just forget about the pants. How about shirts? I'm a 34D, but my hips are pretty wide too. IDK. I would probably cry if I wouldn't be able to buy anything! I read somewhere that they have an unlimited supply of bras... and I love bra shopping. IDK, what should I expect?

This is what my body looks like for a reference

Sometimes I wear a S or M in American sizes (shirts), it depends on the design; so in Japan I should go up a size?

  1. I know for a fact that it will be very difficult to find clothes for your size in Japan. I am smaller than you but big enough that I couldn't while living there for years. I ordered online all the time. Which sucks because shipping fees and the need to return something should that happen is really inconvenient and time consuming. I flew home to visit my parents once a year and did the majority of my shopping at that time. Japan's large is our small - this applies to coffee, pizza, and clothes alike.

  2. Try the largest size first.

  3. It would probably be very difficult to find clothes in Japan that will fit you, no offense.

  4. Im really tall but a little skinner then your pic honestly I just buy most of my clothes online. It helps me find more unique looks that most people dont have anyways. Ebay was a good one cause they have a lot of stores from all over the world.

  5. probably go up a size

  6. It depends. You gotta look around to see if there's anything. In Namba in Osaka, I went shopping in the station's underground mall and i found stuff that fit. It was a size M. Normally in the USA I wear juniors' L or XL. I don't think it will be a big problem because most Japanese shirts don't cover all the way down to the hips.

Realize that a lot of thier clothing is also not revealing like our stuff. They tend to wear smocks, oversized baggy shirts and sweaters. So you might find some stuff that fits but it will be a bit tight. No problem there.

The best way to see if it will fit is to hold it up to your body and stretch it out to see if it fits.

I know that you can find stuff at Lalaport department stores, as I found a pretty shirt there. But for the most part, you will likely be out of luck.
