  1. No.  You MIGHT be allowed to keep some fish, but that's about it; and even so your commander will have to approve it.  Not all do, by the way.  No dogs, cats, gerbils, rabbits, snakes, birds, etc.

If you live off post or off base or on base in Military Family Housing there are no restrictions on pets. But in the barracks or dorms they are prohibited.

  2. pets are not permitted in the barracks.  well, the occasional goldfish or  pet hamster maybe.. but no cats or dogs.

  3. If you are talking about the barracks then it is a big no.  Mainly because there would be no one to take care of her while you are in the field or deployed.

  4. No you won't, unless you are an officer or upper enlisted and have your own housing, otherwise you'll be living in Barracks, similar to a dorm setting, and there are no pets aloud.

  5. You will live in the barracks.  There are NO pets allowed in the barracks.  When you reach E-4/E-5, you can ask to live off base and then you can have a pet.
