  1. No. it needs more room than that.

  2. hello, im pretty sure you could keep your carpet python in a 55 gal. tank.. but no smaller although he may not fill the tank he will need space to move. but if the python is having trouble moving or getting his food or just getting around please concider getting a bigger tank asap..

  3. i would say bare min. a 75gal but you probably have a couple years to save up for one...your 55 should be plenty for a carpet that is only a year old...just put 50cents in a jar every day for two years and you'll have $365 which is plenty for the tank and all the accessories.

  4. Depends on what kind of carpet python.

If it's an Irian Jaya carpet python then a 55 gal will be good its entire life.

Coastal carpet pythons can reach 9 to 10 feet in length, a 55 gal aquarium is only 4 feet long by about a foot wide, this would not hold a coastal carpet python its entire life.

Most carpet pythons reach about 9 feet in length with the males being a little less.

If it's anything but an Irian Jaya or a diamond, you're eventually going to need a bigger enclosure.

  5. that would be too small for an adult carpet python.

  6. probaly...
