    They should work just fine together.  Good choice.  Remember, though that the converter is not a transformer, so don't use it with your electronics stuff.  It will only work with things that make heat like your straightener or your hair dryer.  

    FYI:  It works by chopping off half the electric sine wave so your electronics stuff will not be happy with that but your heat making stuff won't care.  

    Wish I was going along.  I loved Iran when I was there in the 60s during the time of the Shah.  Wonderful people.  Hope they get their government fixed.
