If I get a 80cc or higher scooter, and I obey all the traffic laws, and have a valid drivers license, would I be able to get away with driving that without a bike license. In Connecticut, ( that's where I live ) you need to have a bike license for any thing higher then a 49cc engine. Thanks for your help!

  1. Don't take chances with the law.  It can be a humiliating experience.  Besides the trained eye can always make out a new rider from an experienced one, so why take chances.

Also remember a well designed 80cc can generate some serious acceleration so it has to be treated with a degree of caution.  Don't think it's an 80cc so what gives !  It can be a serious transport tool.  So bide your time, get the two-wheeler licence too and then go for that ride.

  2. if it has head light and tail light that gets brighter when you push any brake. and pedals that will work when applied should be ok but i don't think the cop will know the difference between an 80 and a 50.

  3. it won't be legal and you run the risk of being fined accordingly.....

depending ont he situation the cop might just let you off witha  warning.

  4. Squid you will  get away with it only till you get caught then it will be bad and expensive, do you really think the police are not aware of  this childish little scam. I really hope you get caught in front of all your friends. Maybe they will take your license. If you do not have a    motorcycle  license I bet you will not have insurance also.
