Theres this dude I've had a encounters with. I don't intend on fighting him, but I have a feeling he may try something one day. So as for my question, if say he were to jump me outside of a store, club, etc, and I were to react by fighting back, would I get in trouble if caught by authorities (cops, guards, so on) or at all? I know some laws state that if you can avoid it you should do so, and then in some places they have the "stand your ground law" but if a guy is already beating on you, how does this apply? Would I get in trouble for fighting back if hes already began beating on me?

  1. As long as you can prove that you were acting in self defence you should not have a problem with the law.

  2. As long as your actions are out of self-defense, there will be no jail time for you.  The law protects people acting out of self-defense.  They realize that no one can be expected to lay back and get beat to oblivion because they will go to jail for fighting back.

  3. if its self defense no, but if u take the fight too far by seriouslyhurting them then they may get u for assault or something else
