Question:

Would I get into trouble for doing this?

I have been thinking about putting the phrase "No Insurance" across the top of my windshield. If I did, how worried would I have to be about being pulled over and asked for proof of insurance every mile and a half? By the way, I do have insurance - in fact, I am paid up until February.

By the way, Yahoo wanted me to put this in Yahoo! Products > Yahoo! Messenger > Problems with Service. Go figure!

  1. I think that would be hilarious.  Just be sure that whatever you put on the windshield can't be considered an obstruction.  Other than that, I don't think there would be a problem (sorry I can't give a more definite answer, but I'm not a police officer).

  2. Well it would give people a laugh, that's for sure.

But I highly doubt that an officer is going to believe that on a windshield.

Go for it and tell us what happens.

  3. If someone didn't have insurance, i'm pretty sure that they wouldn't be broadcasting it to the world. So, i'm sure they'll think its a joke.

  4. Just tell them your name is Rowsdower.

  5. DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!...

  6. Cops have no sense of humor.

  7. im almost positive that u can out what ever phrae on your car that you want but you should have no problem about geting pulled over

  8. LMMFAO!!!!!!!   YOU HAV GOT 2 DO IT!!!!!!!   Let us know!   Post pics!

  9. i dont think you would get pulled over.

not all cops are idiots, they would think it was a joke...just like it is

  10. Go ahead its a free country

  11. i dare u to do it

  12. You are announcing to every cop that you are not insured and the only way they will find out is if they pull you over.  By announcing that on your windshield you are giving them probable cause.  Officers have a great sense of humor and they will have a field day with you.  You will be pulled over and checked for everything everywhere you go.

  13. It's worth a try to see what happens.  Let us know.

  14. Seriously! DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Im not sure but first why dont you try it with the temp. window paint and see if it does get you pulled over every one and a half miles b4 u try it wid real paint. You can usually get this paint at walmart or a dollar store

  16. no its not illgal. my jeep syas if you can read this flip me over... its up side down lol

  17. It would be very funny and if you do i wanna see pics  but i dont see how it break any laws

  18. It's not illegal, and cops can't pull you over unless they see you doing something illegal behind the wheel...Same as a 14 year old driving. They would have to be speeding or something in order to get pulled over, looking young isn't against the car.  Neither is writing something on your windshield.

  19. well if you do have insurance then theres nothing they can do but i think you'll get pulled over a lot, my advise would be...DO IT! DO IT!! DO IT!!!

  20. DO IT! lol

It sounds like fun and even if you do get in trouble, the worst that could happen is being told to remove it

  21. do it if a cop asks say my friend wrote it

  22. Don't do it, you'll probably get a Ticket from a Cop for that. Don't know what the excuse you'll be for giving you one, but he'll find one. Trust me.

If you're eager to loose a couple of dollars out of the pocket just donate it to your local Animal Shelter or something. At least that way you did something good.

  23. Let us know.

  24. do it some guy will probley beat your car with a golf club though haha

  25. You probably would be stopped but I do not think it's against the law....if they ask why you can say it's short for no health insurance..

  26. You may not get into trouble for your free speech, but if you live in a mandatory insurance state you would be stopped frequently. Also if you live in a state where insurance is required the stops would be legal because the officer had a suspicion you were driving illegally.

If you live in a state where insurance isn't required I don't think you'd have a problem.

  27. Wow, interesting idea!  I wonder if cops would be allowed to pull you over just for that.  Of course if you had insurance they couldn't write you a ticket.  You could say your right of free speech was being curtailed.  So I would guess cops wouldn't bother you, except if they pulled you over for anything else they'd be sure to ask if you had insurance.  (It used to be if you were driving without a seatbelt a cop couldn't stop you for that, but if he pulled you over for something else he could write another ticket for the seatbelt).

Why don't you try it and let us know how it turned out?  8^)

  28. hahahah do it
