Would I get more TV channels with this?

The description says that it "delivers free over-the-air digital television signals for a DTV-ready television or DTV-capable computer monitor." Does that mean that it will receive extra TV channels for no extra money? Or will I have to pay to be able to actually view them?

Also, how can I tell if I have a DTV-ready TV?

all the channels you get with that are free. as for your tv how old is it.
