Would I look better as a brunette? (pic)?

Question

I have dyed my hair blonde for 5 years now and I'm going to college in the fall and I wonder if I would look better by just going natural. My hair probably needs a rest anyway.

the blond is to yellow for your complexion, i think a nice auburn or just a dark brown would look neat :)

100 times better. right now its like, bright yellow and your eyebrows are brown. go to the salon and ask for "a cool toned brown" that won't fade to red. I can tell in someone's eyes wether they should be blonde or brunette anyway, yours are dark and intense and would look so much better with brown. if you do it by yourself get a loreal hair box. pick the color you want the most just by looking and then look on the top. it should have a number and say warmer or cooler. you want one that says cooler. i promise. warmer will fade to red, and your skin tone would look best with a cool color, not warm. if you had red hair it would look really bad. like if i were to have it. go for a dark brown

I think that the constant coloring has done damage to your hair and it has also taken on a funny blonde color that kind of looks fake, for college i really think it would be a mature step to dye your hair a drak brown, that would make your eyes look really pretty and you will get an overall better response. plus you wouldnt have to worry about dark roots

I like that you went for that shade of blonde, instead of silvery, bleach blonde. Even though it's obvious that it isn't your natural colour, it still looks good on you; however, I imagine that your darker hair would look even prettier. And like you said, your hair does need a rest if you've been dying it for so long. It's not only about looking better though, you'll probably feel all refreshed which is great.

Yeah I think you should go brunette. First of all the blonde is like a banana skin blonde, and doesn't look natural at all. Secondly, if you're going to college, which is something new, then a new look (hairstyle or whatever) is a great thing to do; small things can change the way you look to the year. If you're worrying about your hair colour, then you'll worry about life at college too.

You would make a good brunette I think, but I think it would be even better if you would simply choose the correct shade of blond to apply to your hair and to take better care of it.  The blond you have now is far too yellow for your complexion, and your hair looks a little dry.  I would simply recommend taking your hair back to the color it is at your roots (the light brown) and then simply getting cooler,  beige-blond highlights.  This way all of your hair wouldn't need to have bleach applied to it, and it would look more natural.  

I would also recommend applying moisturizing treatments to your hair once or twice a week.  An easy one is to simply apply Aussie's Three Minute Miracle to damp or dry hair and leaving it on overnight.  Then, rinse it out and wash your hair as usual in the morning.  Also, cut back on any heat styling you are currently doing (for example, let your hair air-dry more often, etc.).  This will also help alleviate some of the damage.  The final bit of advice I have is to get your hair trimmed regularly.  Good luck!
