If you've already taken the SATs (even though the score is not so good) would you have to take the subject tests?

I will be a senior next yearr, if i should, when do you recommend me taking them?

  1. You do not have to take the SAT II (which are the subject tests) unless the college you are applying to is requiring them or if you particularly gifted in a subject it might be a benefit to take it to show off your skill in that subject. I recently took part of the SAT II for history. They are very hard but if you study well you can get a relatively good score. Do not be discouraged if you don't get a good score, on these test the average is around a 50%-70%. They are very hard. It is rare to get a high B or A (in terms of letter grades). If you don't have to take it, don't waste your time. It is not worth it. If you do want to take another standardized test I would take the ACT.

  2. Honestly you might as well take them. You can take them in October next year. If your score is pretty good on the SATs take the Subject Tests because if you apply to selective colleges they will require them.

  3. i just took the us history, biology e, and math 1 and found them all to be very easy.  if you are confident in the subject, you should do fine
