Would I require a Turkish transit visa if i m traveling frm India to Croatia, via Istanbul ?

the time delay between the connecting flights is exactly 23hrs 55mins. I m travelling by turkish airline. If I donot leave the airport, do I still require a transit VISA.(I am a citizen of India).

  1. No.  According to Timatic, the documentation source most airlines use to determine entry requirements, this is what it says for transiting Turkey:

    Visa not required if:

    - continuing onward/return journey within 24 hours by same or

      first connecting aircraft; and

    - holding confirmed onward/return ticket and all documents

      for next destination; and

    - not leaving the airport.

    No suitable hotel accommodation available at the airport.

    With that said, if you plan on leaving the airport during the 23 hours and 55 minutes, you will need a visa for Turkey because you're then considered entering Turkey.

    But to enter Croatia:

    Passport (must be valid for period of intended stay) required.

    Visa required.

    So make sure you have a Croatian visa.
