  1. It is not that America is forcing China and India to use more oil. These two, whose development in per capita terms is still low, are correcting it. This pending development needs massive industrialisation and infrastructure and hence more oil imports. Now that the oil prices are reaching for the sky, production of goods and services get priced out and so search for new sources of energy, the chief one being 'Nuclear'. India is caught in a situation where she can't get Nuclear fuel unless she signs NPT to appease and get the fuel from NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group). China is going ahead with massive industrialisation with more oil imports, emerging as the chief manufacturing hub to the world. As one of the original members of the nuclear weapons countries she is privileged in nuclear matters.

If you calculate Chinese and Indians oil consumption in per capita terms as a third of American figure even, it will amount to a huge demand on world oil resources.

  2. India and China are with the top world population. Don't forget that these countriesm, especially China, who save and or saved a huge amount oil in the past and or present by per capita.  In  anyway, we should seek new engergy, such as solar and wind and electricity. Space technology must promote civil energy saving.

  3. The US economy has been a target since the enormous accumulation of wealth and growth of post depression and WWII period.  While business leaders have become trading partners with international entities the US advantage disadvantage dynamic has often been dubious.

Oil is but one identifiable area of disparity.  Automotive production and heavy equipment are areas where foreign competition for American consumers is impacting domestic markets.

Technology facilitates models of scenarios for maximizing profit.  Oil is the poster industry for extracting wealth from Mainstream America by global corporate interests.  Without the accumulation of personal wealth there would be no marketplace from which to extract.

This appears to be a niche opportunity.  Attacking the US economically may be more devastating than the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Mainstream Americans compete with one another for economic and social survival while a global elite sap discretionary income and savings by increasing the costs of necessities of food and fuel.  This could be the perfect crime.  It appears to be the product of poor planning and decisions by Americans who are defenseless against rising prices for basic necessities.
