Would Infra Red saturate a flat piece of acrylic more efficiently if the LED was inserted directly into the edge of acrylic or if it was placed just at the edge facing into the edge at a pre determined angle using an IR LED with...say a 15 degree beam width as an example?

  1. Uh yeah....sure.....the other one.....yeah.

  2. Strange question, are you building a remote control?  If the environment you are going to use it in is free from other IR sources, then IR is quite effective either way.
