I am just trying to figure out how to communicate with my family, while studying abroad. I thought of using yahoo voice messanger or Skype. I was wondering if the Internet Cafes have a voice chat option. Sorry if this question is silly, I've just never been to one!

  1. Yes, but I doubt they'd allow voice calls. Often Internet cafés have individual phone booths over there which is much cheaper than an ordinary overseas phone call, or you can get calling cards which have a low rate. Also a hotel which has wireless internet connection would let you use Skype or Messenger on a laptop (if you have one)

  2. The Skype site shows 154 locations in Spain:

    http://skypezones.boingo.com/search.html...

The Yahoo Messenger Spain site is in Spanish:

    http://es.voice.yahoo.com/

  3. not if they have a block on it like they do at my university

  4. We were able to use Yahoo no problem. Not sure about Skype though.
