Would It Be Wise To Install Limewire On My Computer?

Question

The free version...or does it carry viruses?

And if it does can you recommend any good places to download music for free, or would it be easier to just buy them from Itunes?

I have been using Limewire for over a year now and i have not had any problems. Its realy up to you to know what you are downloading. Sometime&#039;s i would download a file and limewire would tell me that the file was corupt. Don&#039;t download any  EXE files, Zip files. These two types usually contain virusis. Any files that are under 2,000 KBS. Chances are, its not the whole song. Use your own judgement.

That&#039;s your choice but be warned before you use it!

In Europe most internet providers are clamping down on file shareing sites

because the music is covered by copy right which you have no right to listen to unless you have payed the fee.

O&#039;h and remmember they will send you a letter warning you that you are in breech of copy right law and pass on your detail to the copyright owner. If you then continue they can even disconnect you from your service provider etc

The site also has cookies attached to the files which can bring spyware, trojan horses, AND MUCH MORE ON TO YOUR P.C/LAPTOP?

not really, its illegal now, plus its full of viruses. not worth it, pay the artist for the work they do.

No..Limewire is illegal and it does carry viruses.

Downloading music from Limewire and bit torrents is illegal and many Internet providers are monitoring their users to see if they are illegally downloading music.

It is much easier to buy music from Itunes..believe me.

I use Frostwire, Its made by Limewire but its like a free version of limewire Pro.

Ive been using limewire for years and Ive never got a virus from it.

ive had limewire on my laptop for years and never had any problems! if i do download a file thats a virus then my computer blocks it.... but thats usually rare

It doesn&#039;t carry viruses but sometimes files do. If you download from limewire make sure you got a virus scanner and virus scan each file after downloaded.
