Would Jesus make a good Marine?

Can you imagine Him in uniform? Stabbing at the mannequins at boot camp? Saying HOO-ahh!

No. But, according to the written accounts of the crucifixion, he did ask his heavenly father to forgive the soldiers who were executing him. And it is also recorded that the first person to acknowledge his divinity, other than Shimon Ben Jonah at Caesaria Phillipi, was the Roman centurion at the foot of the cross.

Of course you are probably not familiar with the name of the disciple I mentioned above. So, go ask a Jewish friend because I used that disciple's Hebrew name. After all, they were all Jews.

No. But I can visualize His death on the cross to be atonement for our sins.

BUT, God did, however, command the kings in the old testamnet to go to battle with their enemies and wipe them all out, women and children included.

Remeber R.L Ermy in the movie "The Boys of Company C"??? One of the new recruits was accussed of being "Jesus Christ" by the drill sgt. (R.L. Ermy). He's that guy who hosts "Mail Call" on TV. Anyways...R.L enjoyed watching "Jesus" getting his head shaved. Funny Stuff.
