  1. This might answer that question.

    http://www.immigrationshumancost.org/tex...

  2. Yes it would . It would help the environment , over crowded schools , traffic on the roads , our taxes , food ,jobs ,and generally everything in America would be better with less people here .

Search " Immigration Gumballs "  and see what I mean .

  3. if you consider the following:  1)much less crowded(and resources-abused) schools and emergency rooms, 2)service staff in restaurants who speak English and who understand what you are talking about, 3)garden/landscape workers(yes, Americans do work in these fields, I happen to know some of them) who don't need you to tell them 10 times what not to pull and cut, 5) cleaner and safer streets, 6) less rape/murder/burglary(yeah, we already have these crimes so we don't need more committed by the illegals), 7) less money spent on anchor babies who give birth to more babies before they turn 18----- as improvement to the quality of life, then YES,  Life would be Better( If was better when I first came 19 years ago)

  4. I don't think so, they do all the S****y jobs the regular citizens wouldn't do.

  5. all i know is that the flow of traffic would be wayyyy better!

  6. What if they had the current immigration laws already in place and effective in 1492?

  7. Not really.

  8. Life would be better if Latin America stepped up to the plate and did things such as: improving its infrastructure (paved roads, good plumbing, free highways, improved telecommunications), improving the work ethic of people (i.e. not shutting down the entire economy for two weeks before Christmas, being punctual, etc.) and just generally taking more pride in their nations.

  9. Yes.   And we'd be $70 billion richer each year.

The USA is a merit based, capitalist society and economy.  It is what it is.

Anyone interest in socialism or communism is free to head out of the USA.....

  10. In some ways yes.  In some ways no.

  11. No, they take care of all the jobs American citizens do not want to do. Illegal immigration is bad, but just as long as said immigrant was not a terrorist or thief, they do serve a purpose.

  12. I'm deeply sorry, but I don't think illigal immigrants being deported would help our lifes in the United States. They aren't going to lower gas prices. They aren't going to give my confidence every time I ride a plane. Why? Because if we go back to the events of the unfortunate 9-11. Well there wasn't so much drama back then. Now everybody's talking about all these sudden 'problems' that quite frankly were already here for over 50 years. It's the bad media that gives us all these 'problems' with the added suspence music that makes a LOT of stressfull people point the finger to everything. There was a survey that was made in 2007 that said, " do you view hispanics first as illegals through your head until you know more about them? Majority said yes. Did you know people are blaming our border patrol more than ever because of 9-11? Its ridiculous. Lets be thankfull that were not getting bombed anymore. Thats a sign that means border patrol IS doing their job. Everybody is saying Mexico is dangerous because terrorists can cross it. Well last time I checked if any terrorists blew up anything in this country were two white americans and all the 9-11 terrorist which by the way came via the CANADIAN BORDER.

  13. One thing is that Legal immigration is good, because it allows for a greater diversity of immigrants and skills getting contributed to the US. What we should do is increase legal immigration, and since hispanics are already a large group, lets increase the immigration of other countries, i.e. Carribean, Brazil, different countries of Africa and Asia, eastern europe and make sure the all those groups have a similar representation in the population, and you will ensure the American ideal of unity through diversity and not just homogenize with one group like the hispanics.

Actually the problem is not  illegal immigrants persay but the Huge Amount of illegal immigrants, particularly from Mexico. 12 million illegal immigrants in the US more than half are from Mexico. If we just cut out Mexican immigration, all the stress people feel would go away, because thats the one group that is the illegal immigration problem. One thing, what usually doesn't cross people headis that instead of more diversity there is more cultural homogenization, just a different culture is now the majority, so what threatens alot of nativist americans (who unfortunately take a racist angle, which actually defeats the arguments against) is that the USA seems to being getting taken over, without even a fight, by the sheer numbers of another homogenous  culture and people just walking in year after year reinforcing their culture and language, I mean you know the sheer number of spanish speakers in the US? And if we take a laissez faire attitude toward ilegal immigration, the US will become just another "latin" american nation, where the diverse immigrants who contributed before, will be overlooked because the one single group minority that is now a majority, will have outnumbered everyone else and pushed their agendas at everyone else's expense.

Yes they do jobs that americans are not willing to do, but only because Americans are not willing to work for those depressed wages. As far as saving passed on to the consumer, we've had more illegal immigration than ever from the 1990's onward. Has

anyone seen any prices go down? As far as the housing industry, doesn't seem like the prices have gone up for housing? What more likely seems to be happening is that any extra savings from employing illegal immigrants is not getting passed on to the consumer but to the CEO's and executives, the middle class is shrinking and wealth is getting more concentrated in the richest 10th percentile. A study I read said that the Gap between what CEOs are getting and what their workers are geting, is greater than it has been for the last 50 years at least.

So you tell me, we have American wages getting depressed no savings passed on to the consumer and the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer with the middle class losing ground. And depsite what people think, its the republicans who are pro-illegal immigrations for their business interests, they want illegal immigration, they just don't want legalizationl. Even though the democrats want to legalize, that would actually solve the problem, because if illegal workers become legal, guess what they will deserve all the legal rights for a job and wages and benefits will rise, and those republicans face with having to treat all the workers that come here as good as the american worker will have to shut down the border faster that you can say NAFTA.

Though some of this might be harsh, it is not against one people or another, this is just the realities of the situation.

My 2 cents, well err make that 200 cents i didn't realize how long this was ;-)

  14. i don't think so but I also don't believe it will hurt. Illegals are undercutting wages big time being paid under the table. they come from a shithole of a country and are recreating it here. Ever been to a predominately latino town? It's garbage everwhere. They lack education and common sense. I live in Phoenix and there's a small city called "Guadalope" and there is garbage everywhere, stray animals, run down houses, kids carrying babies while riding bmx bikes down the middle of the road. If you are in the area take a look for yourself. This is a typical latino town. They don't care nor do they have pride in themselves.

Go back to Mexico and transform your own country rather than come to the USA and bring your garbage with you.

Not the brightest people, just like their ancestors the "conquistadors" who by the way came from Europe. That makes Mexico founded by illegals from Europe.

Oh, what did you say about the USA being formed by illegals? Got news for you, brainiac, every piece of land is occupied by "illegals". The difference is governments were formed, laws were made. Why? Because we are bigger and smarter than you. You fcuking stupid, ignorant, lazy, cowards. Go back to Mexico and reform your own goverment instead of coming to the USA and demanding rights.

All of the millions of war vets are mad as h**l because they went to other countries, avoided being killed, came back to the USA so that all of us can enjoy our freedoms. I dare any illegal go up to a war veteran and ask for a piece of the USA pie. You won;t get a step away before getting your a ss handed to you.

    USA USA USA USA USA

  15. Why do people think illegal immigration is a one sided issue.

There are both pro's and cons illegal immigrants.

    Pro's

Undocumented immigrants that are paying for property and income taxes will also help the average taxpayer with the cost of schools, roads, health care, and other social services

some companies have become so dependent on illegal labor that massive deportation would be crippling to the economy

illegal immigrants make up more than 50% of farm workers, 25% of workers in the poultry industry, 24% of dishwashers, and 27% of ceiling tile installers

    Cons

Illegal immigrants were always welcomed by businesses because employers were able to save money by paying them under the table which allowed them not to pay taxes

There is also the idea that illegal immigrants do not pay federal or state income taxes because they claim enough dependents that their tax is close to if not zero

Instead of strengthening the economy they burden it through 10$ billion every year in federal expenses, which does not include social service benefits such as education, medical care, welfare, and jail costs.

According to the “Barrons” study, there are $311 billion in uncollected taxes. According to a study by Western Union, $40 billion annually is sent back to home countries.

  16. yes because they are

ILLEGAL immigrants .people seem to be missing that part of the question.

Unfortunatly the world has to have borders and boundries.

Also the people who are saying the do the jobs other people dont want to do are full of ****. There are so many living in poverty in the U.S who cant find work.

But a buisness will hire an illegal because they can pay whatever they want to them and not worry about the law for the minimum wage.

I assure theres always someone out there who wants a job

  17. IDK, but lets find out.

They certainly take all the lower end jobs that millions of Americans depend on to make a living.

  18. NO it would be worse

  19. Life wouldn't be better for me necessarily except that my taxes would drop about 10 to 20%.  But life would be better for 8 million or so unskilled citizens and/or permanent residents who would have jobs if illegal immigrants weren't doing them.

Illegal immigrants cost US taxpayers at least $135 billion (that's Billion with a "B")  annually.

  20. Nope what some of these people fail to realize is we need them to help keep costs lower.  People will swear up and down illegals pay no taxes and while this is true for illegal paid by cash it is not true for those who recieve paper checks.  Those do pay taxes and they do not get a refund, therefore they do put into the tax system more than people admit.

We need HUMANE Immigration reform, mass deportation wont work they will return, a fence wont work, they cross the river taking the chance of death to get here, they walk the desert to get here how will a fence deter them?  Immigration reform is the only way.  And I am all for it!

  21. Well, if we take out the complete lie that illegals will do the jobs Americans won't, what else do people have fore defending these criminals.

there are no jobs Americans won't do, that's been proven. Remember, most of the farm jobs are still don't by legal immigrants.

  22. I don't know.  A lot of illegal immigrants work and work in service industry jobs, jobs that a lot of Americans do not want to do.

I can sense that thumbs down coming, but hear me out.  I agree that illegal immigrants do deflate wages.  So, there are few Americans that are willing to do jobs like working in a slaughter house for $8.00 an hour.  Without illegal immigrants, Americans still would not want to do that job for that pay, to attract workers they would have to raise wages.  Which would be good for Americans, but again the increase in wages would likely be passed onto consumers.

    It's a viscious circle.

  23. I don't know if it would be better but it would be right. It really urks me that all these undocumented people are just roaming around. If we legal Americans commit a crime, we suffer the punishments. Yet they are allowed to be here without punishment. Why is that? Isn't it dangerous not knowing their background?

  24. No.  Life would be a lot better if there wasn't such a disparity of wealth between the US and Latin America

  25. who would hilled the jobs that obviously we wont take...in the fields, washing dishes, nannies, etc...with less than minimum wages am sure a white wont, our fruits and veggies would be sooo much more expensive, our gardens would look like c**p...in short we need them wether people like ot or not.

  26. Yes.  The illegal drain of money from our economy to theirs is significant.  It is almost as though someone tapped into Ft. Knox, and money that should have been spent in this country, was spent in Mexico.

This issue is one of the very failed policies of this administration.  Open Borders and Globalization does not benefit this country, and doesn't benefit almost all the seriously advanced countries of the world.  We do not need protectionism to compete, but we cannot keep our workers safe and in homes if we do not compensate, in some manner, for the huge disparity in workplace and incomes from China to the United States... from Mexico to the United States.

Bringing those workers in from Mexico attempted to achieve that open border goal via short cut the American Blue Collar paid for and that is totally unacceptable.  I believe the massive bailout of the Housing Industry was a way to compensate, to a very limited degree, the dislocation this idiots dream of a policy created.

    =======================

Keep this in mind too...   life would be far, far better for the illegal aliens if they remained in Mexico, were educated, and brought themselves and Mexico forward as a first world country.  It would also be far less expensive for the United States.

Finally, Congress continues to watch the massive immigration levels automatically rise by almost a third, and the massive invasion which has never been decisively stopped, harm the citizens of this country a great deal and they do nothing.

    ============================

Why do people think illegal immigration is a one sided issue.

There are both pro's and cons illegal immigrants.

    --------------------------------------...

The listed pros are thoroughly discussed by many web sites, and they are bogus in depth.  Http://www.fairus.org, and http://www.cis.org both discuss this issue in depth, along with the General Accounting Office, and several foundations.  They are not a benefit to our society at all.  They do not help with infrastructure at all, and in fact, if we go back to the great brownout that occurred in California just before Enron was killed, we discover the illegal aliens were almost directly responsible for that event.  They are a failed policy and they have been very expensive to the lower/middle class.
