I want to get into drinking tea, primarily for health benefits. My family and I dont even touch coffee. So I would like to try Tea.

What I am wondering is it best to start with actuall teas. Black, Green, Oolong, White. Or am I better off trying Herbal Teas?

I am extremely picky, but would like to get the benefits of drinking teas. Just looking for suggestions on where to start, or tips to maybe make it a little easier?

  2. I think you should try green tea. That's my favorite.

Any kind will do really. I usually drink organic iced green tea though. =]

  3. Just test around to see what you like.

I personally hate fruity tasting tea so I stay away from those.

My favorite tea is black tea so I usually stick with Earl Grey or Chai.

When you find a tea you like you can experiment with it. Ex: honey, lemon, sugar, milk??

You can also turn any hot tea into iced tea by adding ice after steeping in hot water. This is great for the summer when it is too hot to drink a warm drink.

Here is my favorite tea: Chai with sugar and heavy cream, milk, or half & half. I ice it down so it is like an iced latte, but much healthier. In the winter I like it nice and hot though...Good luck!
