Because Floyd 'I'm a little b! tch' Mayweather REFUSED to fight against Margo. All those Mayweather apologists can say all they want about 'Margo is not worthy of stepping into the ring with Mayweather' but anyone that knows ANYTHING about boxing knows that he was just ducking him. I think we all  now see why. I am a REAL boxing fan. That's why I can't say who would win this fight. BUT what I can say is that there was only one PERSON (cough couch Mayweather) that turned down this fight.

Margarito would destroy Mayweather.  Yes mayweather is the faster guy, but he has no power.  If Cotto couldn't hurt him much less knock him out, mayweather has no chance.  

Mayweather didn't even want to fight Cotto.  All boxing fans know that was the original, supposed to happen fight but mayweather was smarter than that...therefore choosing to retire.  Cotto would have destroyed mayweather.

I don't agree with hit-M-up:  Mayweather was not DUCKING Margarito.  PBF was RUNNING from Margo.

How many true champions have retired in their primes and left two of the best fighters in the world standing in the front of the line after being by-passed over for easier pickings?  Floyd is a coward who wants his "greatness" to be defined in the press rather than in the ring.  I'm sure Floyd watched Cotto and Margo fight tonight (although he will probably not admit it).  He is no doubt even happier than Antonio Margarito because he didn't have to face what Margo did.
