  1. Frankly, my cat could have done a better job than George the Wonder Chimp.

  2. I doubt it, but it also wouldn't have been his job.  The thing about Katrina is that something like that had never happened before, so no one knew how to react to it.

  3. Who knows?  Maybe in the future we will see what he can or cannot do.  We all learn from the mistakes of others .  Lets hope he has too.

  4. like all politicians born con artists and liars,

if he had been in power he may have talked his way out of it better than Bush, but it still wouldn't help those who lost the lives ,homes , way of life would he?

the sh-te may slide off his shovel a bit easier, but the American people would still have to clean up his mess.

  5. I don't think that anyone could deal with Katrina when it just hits us like that.

Maybe Obama would have gotten the aids out there quicker. I think the big fault was the speed that Bush got them out there.

What was it? 5 days before they got people out there? That's 5 days of people dying before some sort of aid was there.

  6. A giraffe would have done a better job dealing with hurricane Katrina than the Bush administration....

  7. Maybe. The US military probably wouldn't have been in Iraq and only Afghanistan.

This would have meant that more soldiers were available to help.

Now, the US army is overstretched. There aren't enough soldiers.

  8. No they still would have waited too long to ask for help and they still would have refused the help when it got there.

  9. Hasn't done much for his own state Illinois after the levy let go and it flooded...there was that photo op before it broke, (figures he helped build it) where he filled one sand bag then left...

  10. I think he would have gotten a lot more in place to have a far faster response, rather then strum a guitar or buy shoes.

At the very least, lets hope he would, because if he acted like Bush, I'd crucify him just as much as I did Bush over that.

    EDIT

Even a dumbphuk such as myself was saying on the boards before Katrina hit, "is everything in place, is Bush paying attention?"  So how can I be so smart, yet the deniers so damned wrong?

Yes it was a monumental undertaking.

But lets compare a recent catastrophic disaster, in China.  Within 24 hours there were 10,000 soldiers on the ground, with about another 20,000 on its way.  The people by the truck and trainload headed out there to help.  Money was pouring in from every sector of China, from little towns to major cities.  Yea, China got somethings wrong, but they got a h**l of a lot right.

How does it feel to be upstaged by a third world country?

  11. Yes, but it wouldn't have helped much... a lot of the problem was at the level of the state government, not at the level of the federal government.

  12. He would have given each of them several hundreds of thousands of dollars courtesy of us taxpayers.

  13. The local and state governments should have done more, ye the blacks cried racism against--the blacks they voted into office!
