This may be a tough one.

Consider Genesis 2:10-11, 13-14 describing the river that flowed thru the Garden of Eden and the four it divided into. See what countries (lands) they surrounded and then tell how they covered such a large territory, including supplying the Tigris, Euphrates, AND the NILE. How could these rivers flowed this way?

  1. I don't think that would work an the account that the bible states the world to be 6000 years old and Pangea is a lot older than that.

  2. I'm gonna stick with the, "It is a myth," answer.

It still is the best one.

...No humans in Pangea to recordn about it, btw.  Nice try, though.

  3. Maybe.. The Old Testament is not literal history word for word. The Old Testament is some history, some allegory, some myth and some poetry.

  4. In Kuwait, a dry riverbed (Wadi Al-Batin) cuts through limestone and appears to disappear into the desert of Saudi Arabia. Actually, the river ran underground along a fault line under the sand. From the Hyaz Mountains in Saudi Arabia, this river carried granite and basalt pebbles 650 miles northeast to deposit them at its delta in Kuwait near the Persian Gulf.

This lost river, once up to three miles wide, corresponds to biblical descriptions of the Pishon River associated with the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:10-12).

"And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone."

The Cradle of Gold mine in Saudi Arabia is identified with the "good gold" respecting the land of Havilah and the Pishon in Genesis Two. This mine is also thought to be King Solomon's mine (1 Kings 9:26-28).

  5. The Bible is a badly-written fairy-tale, aimed for adults who have no real knowledge in Science.

  6. Pangea is the answer, if you're an old-earth creationist.
